OK, full disclosure, this page has got nothing to do with confidence building.  But I love vintage and wanted to share my passion with you.  At Elmbridge Vintage, our ethos is to find beautiful preloved furniture and upcycle it in gorgeous colours.  By updating secondhand furniture and giving it a more contemporary look, we hope to find homes for dated furniture that might otherwise be destined for the tip.  We also strive to discover unique vintage homewares that can be displayed for either their beauty – china, artwork and glassware - or their usefulness – crockery, mirrors and clocks.

If we could all try and shop a little more sustainably, find second homes for unique vintage finds, reduce furniture and homewares going to landfill, and buy some preloved items in place of new, this will both reduce our carbon footprint and benefit the environment, which can only be a good thing.  I read recently that 11% of total plastic waste comes from textiles (@UNEP).  I buy a lot of my clothes from charity shops and, OK, it takes longer to find something you really like, but I've been truly surprised by how often I'll find a keeper.
