I moved to London when I was 17 and was employed as an office manager for a marine consultancy for two years, before spending five years as an account manager at Saatchi & Saatchi.  I then spent a year or so travelling round Asia, living and working in both Sydney and Hong Kong, before returning to the UK and working for the BBC in Internal Communications.

 

I’m now married with three children and a friendly cockapoo.  When my husband was in the Forces, we moved house every two years.  Fortunately, I love travelling and, as well as being based in the UK, we were posted to Brunei, Germany and Portugal.  It can be lonely having a partner in the Army, but I enjoy being proactive and, when the children were young, I launched a small business with friends making cards, bags and jewellery and completed a degree in Social Sciences (BSc (Hons)).

I love property and have over 30 years’ experience buying, selling and renovating houses and a diploma from the NDA in Professional Interior Design.  My latest project is a coastal holiday home in North Devon.  In 2011, when we settled back in the UK from Portugal, I started a small business helping people style their properties.  With my knowledge of interiors, I can help you create a home that expresses who you really are.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, which led to chemotherapy, a lumpectomy, radiotherapy and early onset of menopause.  My business was put on hold.  And, although I'm currently in remission, cancer, Covid and hitting 50 all taught me to take a step back and think about my future.  Over Covid I joined Ancestry and produced two books on family history.  And now I'm a graduate of an accredited life coaching course, a member of the IAPC&M and I have a CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies, which has enhanced my coaching skills.
